Why Ekol Çevre

Why international clients work with a team in Turkey

Turkish regulations, authorities and supplier records are in Turkish, and many requirements are only visible once you read the permit annex or visit the plant. A local team closes that gap at a lower cost than flying consultants in.

01

Local regulatory knowledge

We work with the Ministry and provincial directorates every week and follow changes in the Official Gazette as they are published.

02

Turkish at source, English for you

We read permits, letters and supplier records in Turkish and give you English reports and summaries you can act on.

03

Direct access to plants and suppliers

Offices in İzmir, Ankara and Kocaeli mean site visits and supplier data collection can be arranged within days.

04

Lower cost than a team flown in

Local rates and short travel distances keep fieldwork affordable, with no loss of quality in what you receive.

Questions

Working with us from abroad

Which languages do you work in?

We work in English and Turkish. Reports, status updates and summaries of authority letters are written in English for you, while applications, authority correspondence and supplier contact are handled in Turkish. Where a Turkish legal document must be submitted, we provide an English version or summary so you know exactly what is being signed on your behalf.

Can contracts and invoices be in EUR or USD?

Yes. We can quote, contract and invoice in EUR or USD for clients outside Turkey, and in Turkish lira for Turkish entities. Contracts can be issued in English. Official fees charged by Turkish authorities, such as EIA or permit fees, are paid in Turkish lira and are listed separately in our proposals.

Do you work remotely or on site?

Both. Document reviews, calculations and reporting are done remotely, with calls in your time zone. Site visits are planned where they add value, such as plant inspections, supplier data collection, EIA site surveys and due diligence. Our offices in İzmir, Ankara and Kocaeli keep travel times and costs low for sites in Turkey.

How do you handle confidentiality?

We sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving sensitive data, and we can work under your own NDA template. Supplier data collected for CBAM, carbon footprint or due diligence work is used only for the agreed purpose. Where several clients share a supplier, each client's information is kept separate.

How quickly can you start?

A scoping call can usually be held within a few working days, and a written proposal follows shortly after. Start dates depend on the service. Regulatory deadlines, such as KKDIK or CBAM reporting dates, are taken into account when we plan the work, and we tell you at the outset if a deadline is unrealistic.

Which countries do you serve?

Our work always involves Turkey, but our clients can be anywhere. We work with EU and UK importers buying from Turkish suppliers, non-Turkish manufacturers selling chemicals or products into Turkey, and international investors and lenders with projects in Turkey. Because Turkey is on UTC+3 all year, we overlap well with European and Middle Eastern working hours.
